Executive Crisis Performance

I work with executive teams to privately validate how they perform in a crisis.

Through a structured Executive Crisis Simulation, I observe decision making, escalation behaviour, and communication under stress. This gives boards and CEOs a clear performance baseline before it is tested publicly.

For 25 years I served as a crewman with the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, responding to nearly 4,000 missions across New Zealand. Those environments demanded disciplined decision making, clear escalation, and calm communication in high consequence situations.

That operational experience evolved into the design and delivery of structured scenario-based exercises for leadership and executive teams. This included the delivery of 22 multi-agency crisis simulations for New Zealand Government, working across central and local government agencies, private organisations and the emergency services.

During the national COVID-19 response, I served as a Response Manager within the National Outbreak Response Team. The team operated at the coordination point between Ministerial and Cabinet direction and operational delivery, requiring disciplined escalation, clarity of decision rights, and alignment between executive intent and execution.

Today, I apply that experience to executive teams who want clarity about how they perform before it is tested publicly.

My work is structured, private, and direct. Performance must be observed before it can be strengthened.

Executive crisis performance should be observed deliberately, not discovered accidentally.
