Pre-Event

Once your booking is confirmed, Dave sets up a pre-event call with you. On the call, he learns about your audience, your theme and what you want people to take away. He uses that to select the stories and examples that best fit your event. During this call, he will also schedule a post-event debrief with you.

Dave prefers to run his PowerPoint from his own laptop. As a backup, he provides the deck via a Dropbox link by the date your AV team needs it. It usually contains video and needs sound.

Event Photography and Recording

If the event includes professional photography or audio-visual recording:

• Recordings of Dave’s session cannot be shared without his prior consent
• Dave requests that the photos and video footage of his sessions are shared with him for his own marketing and promotional use

Social Media Promotion

Dave is happy to provide a pre-event video for social media to help promote your event. He will also share promotional material to his social media channels.

On the Day

Dave will arrive well before his presentation to check the sound and slides.

If he is not the opening keynote speaker, he likes to arrive earlier in the day to get a feel for the audience and other speakers.

His technical requirements are straightforward:

• If possible, Dave prefers to run the PowerPoint from his own laptop so that Slido interactions show live on stage. This will require an on-stage HDMI cable. Dave will use his own clicker.
• A headset or lapel microphone (handheld acceptable but less desirable)
• PowerPoint projector with ability for sound
• Wi-Fi or good cellular connection for audience participation (desirable)

At the end of his presentation, Dave displays a QR code which audience members can scan to download a PDF of his slides and other resources. They are also prompted to rate the session and give feedback.

After his presentation, Dave normally stays until the next break to meet with audience members and answer questions.

Post-Event

Dave will share all audience ratings and feedback within two working days of his presentation.

We will hold the post-event debrief we scheduled during the pre-event call.
